Pork Chops With Apples and Pears
Ingredients
- 2 bone-in pork chops
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium apple
- 1 medium pear
Directions
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper
- Core the apple and pear, and cut into 1/4″ wedges

- You don’t have to peel them!
- In a medium non-stick frying pan, over medium-high heat, add 1 tbsp of oil
- Add the pork chops, and cook each side for 2-3 minutes, to sear them
- Add the apple and pear wedges, spreading them out in the pan
- Cover the pan, and reduce the heat to medium
- Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, until the pork chops reach the safe internal temperature of 145°F (63°C)
Recipe Notes
- I’ve made this with several types of apples, so use what you have on hand!
- Cooking time will depend on the pork chop thickness
- In warm weather, we have a tossed salad on the side.
- For colder days, we have this recipe with boiled potatoes, or cooked rice.
