This slow cooker pork recipe is easy to prepare, and tastes delicious. The only hard part is waiting until it’s cooked, and ready for supper!
We make this at least once a month, and it makes enough for leftovers for the next day’s supper. Perfect!
Slow Cooker Apple Pork Roast
Easy to prepare, delicious, and perfect for a no-fuss supper, all year round.
Prep: 15 minutes Cook: 3 hours Serves 4 (2 meals for 2)
Ingredients
- 2 cups baby carrots
- 1 medium apple
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 lb pork roast
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
Directions
- Cut the baby carrots in half, lengthwise
- In a small bowl, microwave the baby carrots, with a 1/4 water, for 90 seconds
- This softens them a bit, so they aren’t crunchy at supper time!
Recipe Notes
- We’ve made this with a small pork roast, pork tenderloin, and thick pork chops! The cooking time might change, based on which pork cut you use.
- We usually serve this with cooked rice or boiled potatoes.
- Leftovers are great the next day, warmed up in the microwave.
- We usually have Cosmic Crisp apples, but almost any variety would work!
In the photo below, I’m ready to eat my serving of Slow Cooker Apple Pork Roast. We serve this in our Corelle salad/pasta bowls, which are perfect for “saucy” suppers.
