Almost every day of the year has a food celebration that we can enjoy, or ignore! Here are a few of the food days for the upcoming week, with recipe ideas for you.
Sunday Jan 18 – National Winnie The Pooh Day
This isn’t an official food day, but Winnie the Pooh loves honey! So here’s one of our favourite supper recipes that has honey as a key ingredient. It’s quick and easy to make, and it tastes great!
Tuesday Jan 20 – National Cheese Lover’s Day
Isn’t everyone a cheese lover? Maybe not, but cheese is one of the favourite foods at our house!
Here are a couple of cheesy recipes that we enjoy:
Saturday Jan 24 – National Peanut Butter Day
Peanut butter is another favourite food at our house. It’s great for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and even for supper!
Here are a couple of recipes that include peanut butter – one is a tasty snack, and the other is a supper side dish.
- Hummus With Peanut Butter
- Frozen Vegetable Stir-Fry
- add leftover cooked chicken, to make this a main course
